Pros

You can wear jeans and casual dress.

Cons

Only take this job as an absolute last resort. I tried to think of positive things to say about this company but it was a real struggle. One positive in my time there is that SS&C got investigated by the Department of Labor and had to issue checks to dozens of employees for unpaid overtime. Incredible high turnover while I first started there and it continued through my entire tenure. Upper management clearly has no plans to change this so expect to be frustrated and discouraged as your fellow employees leave and you're expected to pick up the slack, month and month with little recognition or reward for your work. Many people come in with a great attitude and leave the job feeling discouraged. The workload is excessive, the raises are embarrassingly low, the bonuses are weak, and the career advancement opportunities are severely limited. If you have any degree of intelligence and ambition, please search long and hard before committing to a job here. At the very least commit to staying here for no more than 2 years to get some experience and then leave. All the smart people leave so you are stuck with incompetent middle management. Zero flexibility when it comes to working remotely, zero opportunity for career development or to explore working in different departments. I cannot in good conscious recommend this company to anyone looking to build a career. There are much better options out there.

Pros

I truly cannot come up with a single positive.

Cons

Devoid of any culture, business units are so siloed that employee experience is all over the place Not one person seems remotely excited or interested in what they are doing. The work is soul sucking Antiquated products that are being band aided with BluePrism to try to gain some modernized AI Nepotism runs rampant Management teams leave employees to figure it out with no clear strategic direction or support Below market pay for roles that require a lot of ownership Zero sense of urgency to get work done and move toward success
