I started as KP in 2015 in a Restaurant of the company in London Central, at that period a female assistant manager was used to stay in the office meanwhile me and other male employees have to change clothes to get the uniform, panths include. This was normal for her. Other option, change our clothes in public toilet aside the restaurant. i haven't complained that cause i spent only 20 days around in the restaurant after i've been moved in another worster hell out of london... but now it's the reason for what i've been dismissed by the company. A grievancy opened recently by this female assistant manager cause i have expressed my bad feeling towards her concerning her management ( i were usual customers of this restaurant before the investigation upon me by her)telling that Brexit have to do his job, and people as her it's better back to their country. For uk law it's not racism but for SSP equality policy look like yes, because i'm european and i'm in the same position of this person but...Because the struggle happened since the beginning, and my job attitude wasn't enough to dismiss me (i have hold an unit in london of core bars as assistant manager with only the qualification of team member without the support of my bosses and with only one collegues in this bar, but the evidence about me personal skills over my role and knowledge achieved by training) Unfortunately the corruption of a relevant manager as mine, allow to use people when they need over they role, sometimes for 65 hours por week against 48 admitted by uk law, but when they don't need they cut you the hours. I started in 2015 with a contract full time of 20 hours, after a fake dismissal letter in december under probatory period i have been moved in core bar business. i have been obliged to accept 8 hours por week contract for full time, i haven't received properly training but i were obliged to sign paper to receive it. I have received sexual harrasment by one transgender my colleague and bullism by another trangender belongs to my same unit core bar job. . i have opened an early conciliation but i have been moved towards another unit, so i haven't proceed against the company at that stage. In the last core bar unit i lived some calm months but...around the months of expire of my early conciliation another evil plan of my bosses arrived. We were 3 include the manager, they moved a team leader in the unit so with 4 people they started to cut hours. the struggle saw the dismiss of the manager, an investigation upon me cause i were obliged to bring my personal job files at home cause it were storage inside the safe, so any employeers (temporary asweel) could have been able to read my file. I back to the job cause the company fault in privacy data protections. Before the last suspension i had an injury on the job, a layer is helding this issue. SSP fault about health and safety procedures. in a pub only 2 people, a lot of hours alone, no time to eat at lunch properly, the customers complain when i were obliged to change kegs 3 downstairs layers and when i were obliged to received deliveries. I run as assistant manager / manager for 3 months around, with the real qualification of team member with only a bonus of 120 pound more por months. I have collected signatures by my customer to have more staff, this is the real reason plus personal between me and my bosses for what i were fired. They have used an investigation and put some witness not related with the issue happened out of the job, as a customer with the female assistant manager whom opened the grievancy against me. They have considered my spare time as my job time, and this issue something that can damage the business, but unfortunately i'm not the villain and my customers knows that i have been dismissed fighting to provide them a better service against the illogical behaviour of my bossess concentrated only to get money from customers and employees with cutting hours or every means they can use in the name of "Money God" .The same company have broken its on equality policy and the law of uk in a big station of london cause employeers of all nation and religions are obliged to put the money of their own shift inside machine that are called with the name of pagan gods as Lucifer, Athena, Sofia and so on. This is official, cause there is a paper with the name of this God and the list of unit for each of this deposit money machine. This belong to pagan culture of giving sacrifice to the gods. My time is my life, my job time is my life i dedicated to give to create money to bring to the gods and the gods will bless me giving back to me my payslip. Within 24 months you are a slave as in ancient pagan civilazion, egiptian or further... i'm sorry i can't bargain my Christian faith with this. I have 2 investigation opened to sorted out these problems with Hr. I have given the date of 5th July to give me back the result. Just in case the result will confirm my dismissal, i will let you know and i will proceed to ask the help of uk goverment and medias cause i have less than 24 months of lenght of service and for this reason i can't bring the company to the court for this but i can ask uk goverment to investigate. I want see if there is something of honest in the Company nowadays or it is completely corrupt.

Cons

Senior leadership in the Northeast region operates with intimidation, ego, and favoritism, creating a toxic and unprofessional environment. Schedules are changed constantly with little notice, and employees are expected to work long, exhausting hours without regard for work–life balance. When employees speak up about burnout or need to call out due to exhaustion, they are often targeted instead of supported. Union employees frequently earn more than the supervisors responsible for managing them, which creates tension and undermines morale. Promotions are based on personal relationships rather than merit, and nepotism is widespread across multiple levels of leadership. HR functions more as a disciplinary weapon than a neutral resource for resolving issues or supporting employees. The overall culture is retaliatory, inconsistent, and not aligned with ethical or sustainable business practices.
