Pros

Easy to get job. Nice Manager and Coworkers.

Cons

The constant pressure to get customers to leave positive reviews on Eat On The Move is unbelievably stressful, its embarrassing and shameful to have to beg customers to leave you feedback when we are charging so much money for products, I'm absolutely mortified every time I serve someone, I pray they pay by card so I dont have to tell them out loud how much they need to pay, We are also getting our rotas two days before the week starts because apparently someone in HQ keeps reducing how much the manager is allowed to spend on us working so she can only tell us what we are working last minute or put rotas up and keep having to change them. So you can not plan anything on yours day off as you dont know when they will be. The back of house facilities are shockingly filthy and unhygienic, not because they are not being cleaned but because the areas are so old and not repaired, my manager looked so ashamed when I told her about it and she said she has tried for years to get things repaired and replaced but HQ wont allow it.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It's great to hear you have a nice manager and co-workers. It's a practice in most hospitality establishments to ask customers to leave reviews as that's how we get feedback in order to improve our service. I can't see which site you're in to comment on the back of house facilities, but we do have a lot of sites in train stations which have been around for a long time so the age of the building is beyond our control which I'm sure you can appreciate. We do have a maintenance team for any repairs required which need to be reported by your manager through the correct process. Thanks again for the feedback, I'll pass on to the senior management team for due consideration.

Pros

The employee meal discount is genuinely helpful since bringing food into the airport or buying it from outside is difficult. Many hourly employees are friendly, supportive, and hardworking. Most frontline managers try their best and often go above and beyond despite the pressure they face.

Cons

Senior leadership in the Northeast region operates with intimidation, ego, and favoritism, creating a toxic and unprofessional environment. Schedules are changed constantly with little notice, and employees are expected to work long, exhausting hours without regard for work–life balance. When employees speak up about burnout or need to call out due to exhaustion, they are often targeted instead of supported. Union employees frequently earn more than the supervisors responsible for managing them, which creates tension and undermines morale. Promotions are based on personal relationships rather than merit, and nepotism is widespread across multiple levels of leadership. HR functions more as a disciplinary weapon than a neutral resource for resolving issues or supporting employees. The overall culture is retaliatory, inconsistent, and not aligned with ethical or sustainable business practices.
