Pros

This pertains to an Installer position - Above average pay in my area -travel differential, quarterly and annual bonus -19 days of PTO every year as a new tech, you can use it day one. prorated first year. -company vehicle -company supplied tools, annual clothing allowance -while on the road 3 meals a day are paid by company -commission if you initiate new equipment to be installed

Cons

-Lots of travel time -Heavy screening process - Not necessarily a con, but you will need a clean driving and criminal history record, 7 years of job and housing history that needs to be verified with documentation, update all vaccines, and loads of OSHA, HIPPA, and internal training. extensive physical and drug screening. Screening takes a month before you can start, so its best to currently be employed while screening for Steris.

Pros

It was a laid-back environment. For the most part always working indoors with air conditioning, so the environment was always nice even during hot summers. There is a company vehicle was provided, so you were able to save on travel expenses.

Cons

The pay there wasn't the greatest (in the low 20's) but the hours were pretty sweet, considering you were paid for the time you spent traveling to the site as well. Management was poor; the lack of communication would lead techs to run back and forth from supply rooms to the worksite over and over again but those days were scarce.
