Pros

Great compensation, work/life balance, well respected company, very meaningful job, and nice people. Tries to value innovation and reward talents - at least back on the right track. Bought by SAAB AB in 2011- went from a small unstable company to be part of a well-respected global company. Central NY is a great place to raise young kids - great public schools (FM, JD) and very reasonable housing cost

Cons

Depends too much on government contracts - concerns w. sequester coming. Not a highly profitable business - means no bonus. Attracts mostly local talents - hard to attract top notch. Senior and mid management are still on the weak side - lack of experience in general and perceived as lacking accountability - not to bad if you are afraid to make mistakes... Syracuse winter means lots of snow - not too bad if you like to ski...

Pros

Great benefits, plenty of personal/vacation time, personable enough to get to know many people and job security.

Cons

New employee training is non-existent. Growing so fast this can create a potential issue. Structure is needed as well. They have recently recognized this and working hard to change that.

Pros

- Meaningful work supporting U.S. national security priorities - Talented and committed colleagues across functions - Strong global brand with respected products and capabilities

Cons

- After raising internal policy compliance questions, I experienced increased manager hostility, micromanagement, and questions about my dedication from a member of the U.S. Saab, Inc. C-Suite. - Despite good-faith efforts to improve the dynamic, the environment became tense enough that I felt hesitant to, for example, fully use approved leave or personal time, or raise concerns internally for fear of manager retaliation. - Despite directly informing the U.S. Saab, Inc. CEO of the problem, and receiving assurances that my work and effort were exactly what they needed to be (as evidenced by my positive internal reviews), the increasingly hostile manager interactions continued. - Strong disapproval of the U.S. Saab, Inc. CEO and the culture that is encouraged in the U.S. C-Suite
