Pros

- Wonderful and warm people - Good office perks

Cons

Sabre had undergone a large-scale layoff in March of this year and many were affected - but the situation was made inhumane for work-visa holders, where the company pretty much tossed every one over board in the middle of the ocean, which was not necessary... - Instead of granting "garden leave", which would have extended the ability to stay in the country, employees were immediately dismissed and now are facing 60-day "find a new job or get out of the country" rule by the government - There is no help with new visas, no transition phase, no reimbursement for relocation costs, hardly any extra pay above statuary pay of government - just a "you get a one way ticket to leave the country" Email - What is worse: new employers have to carry the full visa cost again, which makes it almost impossible to find a new job (given the additional expense) and the very short time period (finding a job in two months...? GOOD LUCK!!) Thus: do not join with a visa -unless you want to be abandoned in the cold in the next round of layoffs!

Pros

Friendly coworkers and managers Good PTO Hybrid work schedule

Cons

Frequent layoffs Unreasonable work expectations No upward movement Low pay vs market Some departments don’t abide by hybrid expectations, so your team may be there 9-5 three days per week while another team shows up once or twice a week for only a few hours. Overly focused on AI while the stock still underperforms.
