Pros
- Great benefits: 401(k) is as good as it gets, health/dental are very cheap vs average. - Great working from home ranging from blend to 100% remote. - Minimal social justice junk forced on employees. You can focus on your work and improving products without HR shoving political stuff down your throat. - No vaccine mandates - Total compensation is fair
Cons
- Old tech company and its shows - Love to use buzzwords like SRE, devops, agile etc. but upper management has no idea what those terms mean in practice and make no effort to implement changes to truly make the organization more agile - Silos everywhere. See above, this is a very traditional company with all that entails. - No growth. Sabre basically has a single major cash cow (GDS) that is very, very slowly declining in revenue. So goes the GDS, so goes the company. - Base salary is below average Promotions/raises are a bureaucratic nightmare. Giving a raise or a promotion to a contributor out of the annual merit cycle is like pulling teeth (unless of your course you're a VP or senior manager). I swear the companies prefers experienced people to leave rather than increase pay.
