Desperately wants to be identified as a technology company but has a long way to go. - Quality Assurance Sabre Employee Review

Pros

The people you work with day-to-day make it worth coming into work. The buildings are very modern and have a very open environment. The company is committed to a greener environmental effort and contributes to local charities and the community often.

Cons

Lack of growth both professionally and technologically. Still stuck in their old American Airlines paradigm of doing things. They are a travel company - not a technology company. Far too top-heavy with non-producing executives - a constant issue at Sabre. Very poor internal training. Especially for new hires. Too much emphasis on yearly goal creation and performance reviews. Employee's performance reviews are rated on a curve - which means even if you achieve your goals you can be rated unsuccessful - which affects any bonuses, salary increases, promotions and the ability to move to other positions within the company. So where's the motivation to excel? Layoffs. Layoffs. Layoffs.

Pros

Friendly coworkers and managers Good PTO Hybrid work schedule

Cons

Frequent layoffs Unreasonable work expectations No upward movement Low pay vs market Some departments don’t abide by hybrid expectations, so your team may be there 9-5 three days per week while another team shows up once or twice a week for only a few hours. Overly focused on AI while the stock still underperforms.
