      Loved my head cashier, hated the older coworkers - Cashier Safeway Employee Review

      Pros

      My head cashier could tell I was a hard worker and treated me as such and gave me the responsibility I wanted.

      Cons

      The older staff is set into there wage, but they don't work like they are making more then the younger staff. Got trained to be a supervisors but never got that title or pay raise. The transfer over to sobeys was and is hell.

      I can't think of anything in particular. It's has ben a few years sense I've moved on.

      Pros

      A majority of the employees were great to work with. Benefits are great while you're in the union.

      Cons

      inconsistent hours, horrible pay, unsafe working conditions due to building is actually falling apart. No discipline or accountability for emplyees who refuse to follow company policies. Corporate impossible to get in touch with.
