Pros

Pay is alright, some staff are friendly, not much else to say on the pros of working for this company

Cons

They have monkies working management. Have had many problems with the company for a month and a half upon being hired. Employee number took forever to get into the system which caused me problems with punching in every shift. Didn't do anything to fix it until a month later. Scheduling frequently changes, leaving me anxious that I might miss a shift if I dont know if the schedule has changed. Always in a stress-filled environment and feel as though I'm not good enough for this job. As a young employee, senior staff are demeaning and hard to get along with. They expect you to know everything as soon as you're thrown in there.

Pros

Nothing at all, only work at Safeway if you're about to be literally homeless

Cons

Genuinely hellish work environment. Management is lazy and absent, customers are the most disrespectful and clueless I have ever encountered. Complete unrealistic labor allocation and expectations. As a PIC, I have to run 9 SCO robots, unlock cases for customers, perform transactions at Customer Service, answer external phone calls, and move freight. Customers rightly get frustrated at the complete lack of care by corporate, and take it out on employees. Management in the morning all skip out on the evening management early every single day, a luxury the closing staff are not allowed.
