Pros

We have a union, and amazing representatives! Good health benifits after six months of employment, and give back to our community!

Cons

When you step into managment they dont care about offering more training to you. You lose your union benefits. I was lied to about the pay raise I was taking and have requested multiple times that it be fixed with no luck. Upper managment treats starbucks employees as a seperate buisness. I announced my pregnancy and requested that I stop "throwing loads" and was told that its my job to do it. I also left for approximatley sixteen days and when I came back, multiple baristas infomed me that upper managemt was taking statments on how me leaving effected the crew badly and how unproffesianal it was. Since then I've been put on a Personal Impoovment Plan and wasn't informed until two weeks after. On those plans you have 30 days to correct your actions or face termination. I'm surely convinced that after I told upper managment about my pregnancy that they are trying to fire me..

Pros

Nothing at all, only work at Safeway if you're about to be literally homeless

Cons

Genuinely hellish work environment. Management is lazy and absent, customers are the most disrespectful and clueless I have ever encountered. Complete unrealistic labor allocation and expectations. As a PIC, I have to run 9 SCO robots, unlock cases for customers, perform transactions at Customer Service, and answer external phone calls. Customers rightly get frustrated at the complete lack of care by corporate, and take it out on employees.
