      Pros

      At my Safeway we got weekly pay and mandatory breaks after a certain number of hours. We also had a union.

      Cons

      Could not get a consistent schedule, but that may have been the department manager. Would not give Sundays off. Not much management support for my department.

      Pros

      A majority of the employees were great to work with. Benefits are great while you're in the union.

      Cons

      inconsistent hours, horrible pay, unsafe working conditions due to building is actually falling apart. No discipline or accountability for emplyees who refuse to follow company policies. Corporate impossible to get in touch with.
