Pros

The product itself is amazing, and we have such a large market we have yet to touch. For me, that motivates me significantly to want to drive our product into those areas and continue to see the significant growth we have experienced. Even with the acquisition, the positive changes and the growth Sage sees for us have not limited our potential. In fact, although it has affected the culture to a certain extent, I was and am excited to see what Intacct could do with our potential new larger market position. Connecting with prospects who I know we would be able to change the way they operate and do their entire job, making their lives easier, is a significant part of what motivates me in the role. Additionally, my team is full of outstanding, hard-working people who I enjoy spending my day with week after week. Sales is by no means an easy job, but knowing we're all in it together makes it enjoyable and worthwhile. When able, we are always bouncing ideas off of each other and trying to see what can get us above and beyond our number.

Cons

Since the acquisition , there has been pressure on the company to continue our upward growth (and rightfully so). However, this pressure has pushed itself downward in negative ways. Instead of appreciating the individual reasons for which we were hired and supporting our ideas, I feel we have been try to placed into a mold that is just not going to fit every sales person. Not only that, but even when performing or out-performing on our number, we are held to standards that I would equate to a parent punishing a child. I was under the impression, upon joining this team, not only that they would support my upward mobility, but that I would be respected within this role and any one I might take next. Without going into detail, I just can't say that's the case and it's disappointing to see that with such a great team and direct leadership on this team, we're not able to operate in ways that I think would blow this growth out of the water.

Pros

Some of the people are genuinely rockstars in their crafts. The insurance is top notch and PTO is generous.

Cons

Company culture and morale are awful. The salaries are low, policies are dated and not equitable, product and internal tech is dated. Rapid changes due to poor leadership and frequent turnover. Leadership does not seem to possess the ability to pivot once decisions have been made, even if the decision was the wrong one. Company personality is archaic and as far away from forward-thinking as possible.
