Pros
insurance, cheap dental, 401 k, vacation and sick days, unmatched training in skilled trades, set schedule. SCE is a great place to work if you are willing to work a honest days work for a honest days wage. The insurance is excellent for me my wife and daughter. In two years I have learned to mig and tig weld, drive a fork truck, use an overhead crane, powder coating, basic assembly production, and I am very excited to learn the fabrication process. were else can you get hired in a shop at a competitive wage and get taught a skilled trade with no experience? the pay is good and they are not shy about giving raises if you have earned them. only job I have ever worked were I received a shop wide raise ( 60 cents, which is better than previous employers have giving me on a year eval.) The hours and work are demanding but if you work hard and give an honest attempt you will make more money and have better advancement through the company. lots of internal applications for a ton of jobs. Its nice when a company hires with in. One of the first times in my life when I am excited to go to work and learn. Career not a job.
Cons
none at the moment and ive been with them 2 years.
