Pros

I really enjoyed the people I worked with. We were a tight knit group. There are plenty of avenues for advancement (depending on the market). My first GM started at Sam's as a cart associate.. If you can withstand the work hours and a few other things, a career with Sam's can be rewarding - especially financially.

Cons

Hours, for all employees. It's retail though - this is a given. The company relies heavily on the revenue generated from upgrading memberships. Be prepared to sell memberships in any position. Management receives a lot of pressure from their superiors about these sales.

Pros

Pay and benefits are good

Cons

Literally was there for a month and they fired me for 8 points on my attendance and kept someone that has way more points than I do. Say they are more lenient abt things (which they lied) and on top of that they rather keep someone that don’t do JACK and wanna hide in the cooler than keep someone that’s always on the floor being busy. DO NOT APPLY
