Pros

- Executive leadership seems to have a solid idea where company is going. - ESOP has, in the past, been extraordinarily generous for participants

Cons

- Company is FILLED with long-time employees who refuse to consider new ideas, including managers. - Employees spread over four sites for cost savings, but hard to coordinate between all four and despite a "company first" motto each site has its own territorial issues and often won't work with others. - Challenging and outdated infrastructure - Perpetual concerns that Chicago office will close has created a toxic, unpleasant atmosphere there, with many fearing that their jobs will be eliminated or moved.

Pros

SFG has changed over the years but definitely for the better. I trust leadership and enjoy everyday working for this amazing company. There is of course office politics which you’ll have everywhere but if you keep doing what you’re supposed to be doing then you’ll have no issues. ESOP, early out on Fridays, culture, flexible schedules, system enhancements including productivity improvements and genuine conversations with people you work with are some of the top favorites on my list. Plenty of SFG employees have left over the years due to their own personal lives/needs but a lot of them end up coming back for plenty of reasons but in reality it’s because we are happy working here.
