Pros

Office perks like snacks, free lunches pre-COVID, medical/dental, unlimited PTO*, 401k matching Great office location downtown. Nice product

Cons

Please take down this Black Lives Matter solidarity post. Knowing full well you have a close to 0 Black people in management roles (just discovered the small number in management roles was reduced after the lay off across all offices), 0 in Executive roles and probably none in the board of directors. Imagine, I needed time to process the recent lay offs first, having great talented colleagues of mine gone on the spot then hearing we received 400 millions in funding the same day did not sit right with me but NOW seeing Samsara jumping on the woke brand bandwagon with its skeletons in the closet, I could not stop myself from writing this review. Inexperienced managers/directors who have no business managing other people, surprisingly not laid off leading me to my next point. Favoritism/nepotism, you know who they are and why they still have their jobs right now, we see you. If you want to work there once hiring freeze is lifted, make sure you put your intelligence, feedback, opinions and motivation deeply hidden, it's like talking to a wall of mediocrity. Just say yes all the time, only yes men/women pleasing egos are valued. Soulless place. Also loving the interesting influx of 5 star reviews, again, we see you.

Pros

Innovative product, constantly growing the platform

Cons

Compensation doesn’t feel competitive for the workload and expectations of the role. Frequent annual changes—including territory realignments, account books, verticalization, and quota adjustments—create unnecessary disruption and make it difficult to build long-term customer relationships and pipeline. The company has grown rapidly, but account distribution hasn’t always kept pace with headcount, leaving many reps competing for limited opportunity and making OTE difficult to achieve consistently. The Team Lead role is one of the biggest pain points. Team Leads are expected to operate like frontline managers without the compensation or authority that comes with a management position. They carry a fully ramped quota while also traveling, mentoring new hires, leading office hours, answering rep questions, supporting onboarding, and taking on enablement responsibilities. While these leadership opportunities can be rewarding, they often come at the expense of selling time and make it significantly harder to hit quota.
