Spent some time adjusting, but it was O.K. - Engineer Samsung Electronics Employee Review

Pros

The company is huge and so the work that you're on is likely to make big impact in the real world (the company kind of "carries/pushes" you forward), learn big-business know-how's, work with talented people. It's the biggest and one of the best companies in Korea. I personally made some really good friends while I was there.

Cons

Pay isn't all that high (you can't negotiate pay) and bonus depends a lot on the company's performance, hours can be very bad at times and little/no consideration for work/life balance, promotion culture is "first come first serve", strict hierarchy. But it's getting better!! The company improved so much during my time there.

Pros

Healthcare premiums are low, deductible and co pay for HSA is very high. A few very good people

Cons

Get what ever you are “promised” in writing Absolutely no leadership Only company that I have ever worked for that does not have department level P&L. Pay is exceptionally low specifically for the Boston market. Lack of accountability and ownership and no follow up resulting in fire drills and blame game on a daily basis. About half of the staff are contract/temp employees with no path to full time and are promised full time status to lead them on to stay longer. Turn over is probably about 50% which should tell you all you need to know.
