Friday is employee termination day and Monday is new employee orientation. Every one is concerned about their "job security" where they drag the projects for the sole reason of it. Projects get cancelled and teams are being wiped out, but because company's name is in the headlines the stock is not doing bad. During the past fiscal year, many (in 100s) have been laid off or have left the company due to this problem with the company. There is no concern for the employees and using their experience in the company. New employees with much less experience come aboard and it takes months to be trained, but company is saving because jobs are going to lower wage countries (India/China) where SanDisk has its offices. Work life balance doesn't really have a meaning. No sick days at all. Being sick means losing a day of vacation time off! very strange for a company in that size. It might be even illegal in California.
