Pros

It pays the bills, and their benefits package is good enough. The people are the best reason - they've fought so hard under so much pain and suffering that everyone shares a common spirit of survival, and they're almost all friendly and helpful.

Cons

People as commodities, antiquated equipment. The bean counters run the company into the ground. While the numbers-business people want bizarre and unattainable business metrics, their quality people are constantly adding more and more requirements. The bean counters want profitability and to lay off as many people as possible, but the quality people want to add a ton of extra requirements to prove that plants are meeting all kinds of quality metrics that cost money to keep up. (the quality people have the right idea, but end up creating more problems at the plant level because of hard choices that must be made) Their equipment is old and engineers are reduced to being maintenance crew and operators on old machines rather than being the ones who select the best equipment that will bring the company into the next wave of technological advancement. The selections for plant management are laughable at best. I've been told a sister plant has a person with a high school education, a history of using drugs in the plant on the off shifts, and difficulties understanding how to use his personal computer - as their plant manager.
