Pros

Diverse and inclusive work environment There is are flexible work and hybrid work policies (but still not 100% remote).

Cons

Pay is far below competitors. Bonuses have new criteria and if you get anything at all it will be much less than previous years. Sanofi has been taking away benefits and making health coverage many times more expensive than it was. My health plan is now more than twice as expensive than it was 3 years ago without changing coverage. Frequent reorganizations. I believe there has been a reorganization every year for the last 8 years. In spite of teams being spread over multiple countries and time zones the CEO still insists on employees being in the office. Work life balance is officially the responsibility of the employee. Everyone is overloaded. Everyone. They will continue to assign work regardless of bandwidth and if an employee does not complete all projects they will be negatively reviewed and their pay and bonuses will be affected. There is a truly extraordinary amount of bureaucracy. This makes sense for regulated activities but everything is like this. There is an expectation that employees be available at any time. It is actually unusual for an employee to not do some kind of work during their vacations. Workstations are dated and underpowered making even basic office tasks very difficult to work on.

Pros

You Learn a lot about GMP/Pharmaceutical Industry since its heavily regulated by the FDA. The pay is good for the position.

Cons

There are limited opportunities for career advancement, particularly for contractors. Training is generally restricted to the specific process equipment required for assigned tasks, with little opportunity for broader skill development. Additionally, the workplace culture can be challenging. Some long-tenured employees appear to feel entitled to treat others disrespectfully, creating a toxic work environment. Their seniority often seems to shield them from accountability, as concerns raised with management frequently go unaddressed. There also appears to be a lack of diversity and inclusion, which contributes to workplace microaggressions, disrespectful behavior, and an environment where not all employees feel equally valued or respected. There is limited opportunity for contractors being hired on a full time basis, they have to leave the company for six months before they can be hired back! No company benefits for contractors!
