Great stepping stone job for younger employees. Can get discounts on purchases and you meet a lot of interesting people?
Cons
The HR dept. will try to sell you on quality of life and were not like other retail places. Most people are smart enough not to buy that. Yes it is just like most retail places. All of the employees including, maybe especially the managers. They recently merged with another thrift co. That is owned by family members of Savers owners and they put some of their family in some key positions. I don't feel like i missed out on a promotion because I didn't want it anyway but there are others that have worked for the company for awhile that got screwed. There location selection is really bad too. Real estate dept. needs help. They have closed some stores recently because of bad lease deals.
