Pros

Good support from sales staff. Curricular materials are very good, research based, and well supported. Regular update calls with content teams to learn new developments and share ideas.

Cons

Not surprised by this especially as it is a for profit company, but having been other places that were just as successful, I know it doesn’t have to be this way. That’s and my management are what pushed me to leave. Company is focused on “being a million dollar company.” Sensitive to reviews as the actually asked us to go on to LinkedIn and GlassDoor and make good reviews. This sent the message that they are aware of the problems and employees actually made fun of this. Tried to couch it as a way to support the work we were doing. The problem is they made no attempts to fix problems: they rely on many term of contract people to support implementation of materials but don’t make them eligible for bonuses or raises despite them being the face of the company in schools and so. A lot of territorial battles between different teams as management seeks only to move up, not really support people doing the work. This means a lot of saying one thing to employees while doing another. Little or no professional learning allowed outside of what is provided in regular meetings. If you’re not a salesperson or directly supporting sales, then you really don’t matter. Also, work life balance is nonexistent on some teams.

Pros

I’ve had a genuinely positive experience working at Savvas Learning Company. One of the standout aspects of the organization is its culture—there’s a strong sense of collaboration, respect, and shared purpose that you feel right away. People are approachable, supportive, and willing to help each other succeed, which makes a big difference in day-to-day work. The employees here are incredibly dedicated and mission-driven. It’s clear that people care deeply about education and the impact their work has on students and teachers. There’s a lot of expertise across teams, and I’ve found colleagues to be both knowledgeable and generous with their time and ideas. Leadership also deserves recognition for being transparent and forward-thinking. There’s a clear effort to communicate priorities, listen to feedback, and continuously improve. Leaders seem invested in both the success of the company and the well-being of employees, which helps build trust and engagement. Overall, Savvas Learning Company is a place where you can feel proud of the work you do, grow professionally, and be part of a supportive and purpose-driven team.

Cons

The pace can be quite fast, especially during peak seasons, which may feel challenging at times. However, this also creates opportunities to learn quickly, stay engaged, and be part of meaningful, high-impact work.
