Pros

After more than a decade with Schellman, I can confidently say this is an exceptional place to build a career. The longevity of my tenure speaks volumes about the company culture and opportunities for growth. Benefits & Compensation: The benefits package is truly outstanding - competitive across the board and shows the company genuinely invests in employee wellbeing. 401k matching, comprehensive health insurance coverage, generous PTO policy, plus strategic holidays and office closures for better work-life balance. The list goes on and on. Team & Culture: Working with my colleagues is one of the highlights of coming to work each day. The collaborative environment and quality of people here create a supportive atmosphere where everyone can thrive. There's a real sense of camaraderie and shared purpose that you feel from day one. Client Relationships: Our clients are genuinely engaged and value the expertise we bring. It's rewarding to work on meaningful projects where clients appreciate and actively participate in the process. The variety of client work keeps things interesting and challenging. Leadership & Growth: Leadership is genuinely committed to helping team members grow and advance. We establish working groups each year to meet employees where they are in their career journey. This year alone, we implemented two new leadership training programs, and a cross-functional focus group was created to shape our future employee development initiatives.

Cons

We maintain high standards and move at a fast pace, which I personally love as someone who thrives on challenge and excellence. However, this environment isn't for everyone - if you prefer a slower pace or less demanding expectations, this may not be the right fit. For driven professionals who want to work alongside other high performers, it's incredibly rewarding.

Pros

Management frequently improves benefits. Management really knows the business well. The company has historically been well insulated from economic downturns. So many opportunities to stand out and make a name for yourself

Cons

Data driven decisions still a work in progress. Long term vision is likely 1 ish year.

Pros

The people. Peers are great to work with and very supportive. Some of the leaders in the teams are as well. Perks were GREAT but have slowly been taken away or the costs went up.

Cons

Where do I begin? Wholesale executive turnover. Technology projects that we're supposed to say are awesome but aren't really that great. They take up more time to figure out than they're worth and we know those are meant to take our jobs. AI, offshore, temp labor. No thanks. It was a place I loved working at but has slowly just become a job that makes me feel like I should be watching for somewhere else to go. Just in case. The culture has changed quite a bit too. It used to feel like a place where we all wanted to work together but that's slowly fading.
