      -Paid CDL training (with 1yr contract) -Gain driving experience.

      Cons

      -The Dedicated account job I'm currently in is advertised as "up to $65,000/yr". I am working at an above-average level and will gross $45,000 this year. I calculated what I would have to do to make 65 and found it would be 100% impossible.

      Pros

      Dedicated local account, driver leaders are nice, equipment is decent.

      Cons

      $12/hr on duty, not driving pay. That’s ridiculous and includes everything except driving. Work can be inconsistent at times, hours can be long, no holiday or mileage bonus pay for a long time after hire, benefits are expensive. Schneider won’t allow drivers to use Bluetooth or any other hands-free device, INCLUDING HEARING AIDS, to receive calls while driving. This makes having a life outside of work and scheduling appointments almost impossible.
