Pros

1. Work life balance was good in QA teams. But depends on your role, you have to extend and work. Most of the calls for senior and above, will be early morning or late at night and resources dependent on machines have to be in office while attending those calls. 2. Had a good fortune to work with team who treats you as family. Good colleagues. 3. Gaming domain knowledge is great to have. But wish there are more opportunities outside with same domain.

Cons

1. Whatever you work, pay and promotions are not dependent on them in some teams. It is based on experience, manager favourites and not based on what you perform for that year. 2. Too many levels in each role. Sr.Test engineer1 and 2, lead test engineer 1 and 2. Etc etc.. 3. As per management, they give the best hike. But it's not in par with other product based companies. 4. No recent technology used in most teams. 5. Work from home could have been implemented for most of the teams from beginning. Not because of covid situation. 6. People coming from outside with 2 years of experience are put in "Test Engineer" designation. But people staying in company for 4 years and even if they achieve goals, will stay in " Associate Test Engineer" position.

Pros

Great work/life balance, reliable teamwork and support from management, opportunities for growth and exposure to new skills.

Cons

Coaching/overseeing a team in itself has a set of cons, which is what I primarily handle on a daily basis. This comes with any job, but you will have people on your team who need to improve on things such as lack of communication, lack of effort, no work ethic, and lack of skills. Motivating them can be difficult at times, and then you always seem to have a few who do things to avoid work. An accumulation of all these factors subsequently creates more, unnecessary, and redundant work for us. These types of people tend to eliminate themselves out over time due to poor performance and/or quit.

Pay, share same holidays with PA DOR, experience and exposure to products and worldwide lottery and gaming

Cons

work/life balance, management, office politics and favoritism, lack of organization and communication, very inclusive unless you're a woman and have an opinion, job titles do not match role expectations and job duties
