Pros

Minimal crunch. Good people to work with on teams.

Cons

No raise or promotion in ~9.0 years dispite working on one of the most successful games they've ever made. Corporate culture is slow to adopt even things that would increase production by 100% let alone stuff that could improve things by 50%. Failed bonus payouts (prior to the SG buyout we would be paid bonuses if our games did well years after the SG buyout that all got "Backed up" according to management and it took years before we got our bonuses for previously worked on projects.

Pros

Great work/life balance, reliable teamwork and support from management, opportunities for growth and exposure to new skills.

Cons

Coaching/overseeing a team in itself has a set of cons, which is what I primarily handle on a daily basis. This comes with any job, but you will have people on your team who need to improve on things such as lack of communication, lack of effort, no work ethic, and lack of skills. Motivating them can be difficult at times, and then you always seem to have a few who do things to avoid work. An accumulation of all these factors subsequently creates more, unnecessary, and redundant work for us. These types of people tend to eliminate themselves out over time due to poor performance and/or quit.

Cons

work/life balance, management, office politics and favoritism, lack of organization and communication, very inclusive unless you're a woman and have an opinion, job titles do not match role expectations and job duties
