Pros
I appreciate the good pay and decent benefits. The work has been interesting, and there are opportunities to change projects. Most managers have been very friendly and helpful, especially above the Project Manager level. When I started up in a new project I was impressed that the managers were willing to jump in and get their hands dirty. I did not realize who the senior person was (with SRC) on site because of this.
Cons
Have felt somewhat ostracized since I have no previous military service. Job security is not great - but this is to be expected working for a defense contractor. Health insurance company changes annually. Have had to work with some very under-qualified and even lazy people. Have had to work with some very unfriendly people.
