Pros
The company is midsize, so the management is accessible and involved. When my task order ended, they tried very hard to find me another position on a different project. At the same time they found new positions for several others on my project. When my project's funding was cut, they told us immediately, instead of waiting and preventing us from applying elsewhere. EVERYONE I work with is VERY smart. They are all nice. They paid me a little above standard for my job. MANY lunch & learn training opportunities. Fun company fundraisers. Bring-your-dog-to-work day
Cons
The benefits package is a little bit more expensive than I was used to. The vesting schedule on the 401k is slow and delayed: 0% for the first 730 days, then 20% per year thereafter. (it takes 6 full years to become fully vested.)
