Pros
Worked for Scripps for years, it initially had a very welcoming recruitment Dept. The job provided programs for advancement. They have nice, clean hospitals and efforts at remodeling are great. They treat their patients well and have excellent MD's on staff. Healthcare benefits are excellent and paid time off is accrued nicely.
Cons
Oh boy, where to begin? Scripps "restructuring" over the past few years by slashing staff and piling more responsibilities on the already overworked RN's is a shame. Never enough support staff to do the job-I was backed into a corner and forced to leave when I did not have enough time to complete paperwork on the patients and was not given another chance. HR cold and unsupportive when trying to get rehired within the company-they don't give you the time of day. They don't respond, "due to the large number of job applicants", not even when you had a really good record as I did. Now, I couldn't get rehired if my life depended on it! Cost cutting and restructuring has made this into a corporate atmosphere, not a warm and welcoming place anymore.
