Pros
The benefits are decent, human resources does a great job, the medical side seems to be really well taken care of.
Cons
The IT side lacks any sort of standardization across the board. In fact, within individual IT departments you'll find people all do things differently. There is no urgency to put standardization in place. As a result, the entire IT side of things runs extremely inefficiently. Management is more concerned with deadlines than doing the job right the first time. They also do not listen to their employees as is evident by the consistent low scores for the "Great Place To Work" surveys. Overtime is expected regularly due to lack of resources and poor planning. And the company as a whole has no real understanding or appreciation of how much IT drives business. IT in general is an afterthought within Scripps. If that attitude doesn't change, Scripps will be left in the dust. Sharp and Kaiser are already well ahead technologically.
