Cons
Management has consistently disregarded established safety regulations and practices and neglected requests for additional training for an entire year. Compensation is insufficient, given the demanding nature of the work, with only minimum wage paid. Despite requesting more single shifts, employees are frequently scheduled for double shifts. Additionally, work was scarce, with employees receiving roughly one shift each in February due to international students taking most of the hours in tandem with upper management slashing the ride budget. This is only the most extreme instance of a consistent pattern. Mandated breaks are often not fulfilled, being pushed aside to reduce ride wait-line times, and the break room fridge is infested with cockroaches. Employees receive a discount that is less than many pass-holder discounts. Moreover, employees are required to work on the platform despite broken fans in the hot and humid Florida weather. In addition to these numerous management issues, the guests are extraordinarily unruly and often seek dangerous thrills, making it a constant challenge to ensure their safety on the rides.
