Pros

Decent 401k match, upper management tries to be transparent by holding frequent town halls and all associate calls.

Cons

By acquiring banks left and right in new footprints, the company has lost its small, hometown bank feel. It's obvious they are trying to expand and build as fast as possible for a big payday once they sell. Benefits are lackluster, even the most expensive health plan has a pretty high deductible. Big organizational changes have left those with the longest tenure confused and frustrated. Many of the old guard are leaving due to this which only results in more chaos. More and more upper management being brought in from outside, hardly any promoting from within. This ruins the culture and supportiveness the company once had. In my years, the only 'bonus' or profit sharing we've received is a $35-50 grocery store gift card around the holidays. Despite all of the money being spent on M&A, the associates making it all happen never got a slice of the pie. Below-industry salaries are standard. The only way to drive a conversation to make that right is to threaten to walk. 2% annual raise, if you're lucky.
