Pros

The company provides uniforms without us having to pay for them.

Cons

I have been working for the company for 10 years. When I first started as a flex officer I was making $10.00 an hour. I was Officer for the month of August 2004 with my branch. Then I received Officer of the year for 2004. I received a raise to $10.75. My second raise was to $11.00 an hour. I usually worked between 50-60 hours a week. My first five years were as a flex. I asked for a site and got one, but my pay was dropped according to "What the client would pay". I took the post only because I had gotten married and wanted some sort of a life. My wife has worked for the company for four years, so between us we have a total of 14 years of service. I enjoyed working at my site, but we lost that client, due to another company outbidding us. I was then a flex again. this time instead of overworking I was underworking, 24-35 hours a week. Then I was told that I needed to go to a site in Abilene Texas. Quote-unquote I was told that I would be meeting the shared branch manager there and I would be working for 16 hours and then I could go home. When I got there I was told that yes I would be working 16 hours. I was also told that the contract was for at least 3 months and I would be working 12 hours a day seven days a week. He also told me that they would not be paying for a hotel for me to stay in. I was making at that time $11.50 an hour as a flex, so the overtime at 84 hours would be substantial. I thought I would be able to get one and still be able to pay my bills. I worked the first two weeks for 84 hours. Then I was cut down to 72 hours, as they brought in another guard. After two more weeks I was working 60 hours. My wife and I had to dip into our saving account in order to pay bill, rent, hotel, food etc. Another officer and myself finally ended up staying at the site and making a make-shift bed and outside shower. The contract lasted longer than expected and lasted from March until September 1, 2013. When I got back to Fort worth I was told there weren't enough hours, between 24-30. I took what I could, but this created tension with my wife and I over expenses. I was forced to take the branch managers to the compliance board. We did get reimbursed, but have had to file for bankruptcy. That is something that we definitely didn't want to do. I'm now back at another site but am making less than I did 10 years ago. I'm making $9.75an hour. How do they expect us to pay our bills, and have enough money for healthcare.?

Pros

The only thing that I enjoyed while working here was the team that I had the privilege to work with. My employment was on a tech team which was a vendor with a larger Tech company. I was able to network and meet some amazing people that allowed myself to connect with others in the tech industry.

Cons

My experience with this company was extremely disappointing. I raised serious workplace concerns related to disability-related treatment, harassment, and overall employee support through internal reporting channels, but I did not feel those concerns were handled with the urgency, fairness, or accountability they deserved. The issues continued for a significant period of time, despite repeated attempts to report them properly. After I provided additional details that were requested as part of the internal reporting process, I was removed from my client assignment. In my opinion, the timing and handling of that decision felt retaliatory, especially because it happened after I raised concerns and participated in the company’s reporting process in good faith. I was initially told that another placement would be pursued, and there was communication for several weeks. However, I was ultimately separated from the company under a “Non-Placement Termination.” The experience left me feeling unsupported and gave me serious concerns about how employee complaints, workplace concerns, and follow-through are handled.
