Pros
SSC was a running joke for many years when it came to culture, but on the encouragement of a friend on the inside I agreed to take a serious look. I was shocked to find how much they matured! The vision is much larger than the original product, the team is energized, and investments are being made to ensure success. The leadership is vested in making the culture right, all the way up to the CEO, recognizing that what got them to this point will not get them to where they want to be.
Cons
It's a performance-oriented organization, they set high standards and expect everyone to live up to them. It's not great if you're not able to handle direct, candid feedback - or if you're not ready to pull your own weight. There's a bit of churn where people present well in interviews but then don't perform, giving the appearance of instability. If this scares you, it's not the right place to be.
