Pros

Air conditioning, close to B&H store.

Cons

I had perhaps made the worst career choice when I decided to accept an offer for Lan Administrator in Segal. My manager who was the regional Lan manager at the time was the absolute worst. I had no access for weeks and was given Microsoft course material to read when I had questions. He would occasionally make fun of a former employee and would show me youtube clips of an actor who resembles him. I was stuck in my cubical all day most of the time with nothing to do. There will be days when I will just check in, sit in my cubical and not one person would interact with me for the entire day. While working here I had a death in my family and I took a few days off, during this time my manager would harass me and consistently call to ask me questions about when I will be back. I finally had enough and ended up quitting without another job. After my resignation, I received a call from HR stating that they had overpaid me an extra 2 or 3 sick days and would like for me to reimburse them. This is while I was still grieving. Please stay away from this company.

Pros

Remote, kind group of people, and flexible with working hours

Cons

Said early in, intended to give every intern a return offer and would be transparent with that process. When it came down to it, every intern had to reach out to management on their own and inquire. Also work was unevenly dispersed among intern group. Some interns were given 40+ hours of work a week, while others were struggling to put 15 hours on their time cards. There was almost this expectation to find work to do, but realistically you can only spend so much time going through all the training videos and practice excel sheets. Ultimately, I would say this really impacted decisions to give returns or not. The work is extremely dull, and the pay is not good enough. They spend too much money on an office in Hudson Yards they don't need (it's gorgeous though) considering most people are fully remote. They should focus on paying lower rent, and paying their employees more.
