Pros
Product line presents unique engineering and manufacturing challenges in a fast-paced and innovative environment. Challenging the status quo and pushing unique or new ways of doing things is encouraged and upper management is accessible and receptive to change.
Cons
Employees who lack aptitude, motivation, and/or initiative are retained for longer than they should be, which means it's easy to stand out, but standing out often means taking on a more significant burden of work than peers. While past turnover issues have mostly been curtailed, it has left in its wake a lack of seasoned/experienced individuals in certain departments.
