Pros

* The product and technology are super interesting, unique, and relevant. Bringing awareness to energy usage in the home and connecting your smart devices is a fun field and can help make an impact on energy usage! * Great culture. Very laid back atmosphere, with fun non-work related events. And the hours are reasonable: just do your job well and nobody cares how many hours you are at your desk. * Smart, talented people without the ego. Great place to learn from others but also contribute and feel like your work makes a difference. * Smart, veteran leadership, but again without the ego. Really believe in the mission of the company and the role we have to play. Super motivating!

Cons

* We partner with energy utilities sometimes, and they are slow moving! So it can be frustrating that we can't enact the change we want as quickly as we want. However, the direct to consumer approach makes up for this!

Pros

I had the pleasure of working with Sense’s HR team during a time of rapid growth, right at the start of the pandemic and beyond. Despite the challenges, Sense made it work with consideration from all fronts. Sense continued to expand, driven by their mission and strong leadership. The Executive team and Co-Founders bring valuable startup experience, and the culture is nothing short of amazing—smart, inclusive, and respectful. The people here are genuinely great to work with, and these qualities make Sense a fantastic company to be a part of!"

Cons

Nothing comes to mind, startups have their challenges as do large companies.

Pros

Great office location in Central Square. Some great, highly talented people here you'll work alongside. Good pay, ok benefits.

Cons

Leadership has no idea what they want the company to be. They had a good idea with the original monitor, then had NO idea how to build a sustainable business with it once handed a massive Series C funding round, The caliber of leadership at the company is just not good enough to salvage what's left of the company after the trainwreck of a deal with Schneider Electric. Sort of a culture of toxic positivity despite obvious issues with the business. Layoffs handled poorly.
