Pros
Large hospital system with multiple locations. Mostly good co-workers. Hires new grads. Good benefits for full-time employees.
Cons
Poor management, does not appreciate staff. Low pay with no benefits or raises for PRN employees no matter how long you have worked for them. They will hire new PRN's at a higher rate than someone that has been working there for years. On call pay also low and often expected to work an unsafe amount of call. Patient load often too high. Too much focus on numbers/profit. Few opportunities for full time, part time or advancement. The only way for a PRN to get a raise is to leave.
