Pros

As a manager, you are given lots of autonomy to run your store and develop your team according to your location's needs. Also, the industry is performing well at the moment so there is not constant pressure to meet goals and drum up business like in other retailers. There is lots of opportunity to take people under your wing and develop your team's skills and work performance as they are often young workers without lots of previous experience. You are not required to work more than 40 hours per week and there is usually enough management scheduled that you will not end up staying much longer than scheduled.

Cons

Company does not focus on results. If you are a results driven manager and want to advance within your career, this company does not have a clear path for progression. Opportunities for advancement, which rarely occur, will be decided based on personal circumstances, your boss' opinion of you and how well liked you are rather than your demonstrated ability to increase performance and improve business metrics. If you are happy to stay within a store management role until you retire, this company is great for you.
