Cons

An incredibly nepotistic marketing team, with such high turnover. Leadership is incredibly toxic and favouritism is rampant. It's a culture of fear and anxiety, where everyone is afraid of being stabbed in the back by their colleagues, and people losing their jobs has been so prevalent that no one feels safe. Definitely a culture of "old Sephora" people who have been here 5+ years who can be mean girls and can do no wrong, and are protected. HR is completely aware of a lot of the complaints against leadership, but do absolutely nothing about it. Engagement scores continue to go down year over year. It's all performative and no substance, and respect for the marketing team at Sephora has never been lower from crossfunctional partners. I have never worked for such abivalent and heartless leadership.

Pros

I've worked at two different locations in different cities. Both locations have WONDERFUL management, they are always super understanding. They lead with integrity and passion for beauty. Gratis is always a plus! But being apart of a team that has your back and truly wants to see you thrive makes all the difference!

Cons

I really don't have any cons for Sephora. They have poured into me the same way I've poured into the clients that come into the store. My only wish would be that Flex employees also receive gratis because they too need training products in order to recommend brands to clients.
