      Pros

      Great if you are young, single, have no children or family. The benefits (health insurance, etc.) are great.

      Cons

      Terrible if you have to deal with the public. People will spit on you verbally and literally. Terrible if you have a family. This job will destroy your relationships.

      If you come in as entry level engineer the only way to move from entry level to higher level position is to wait the prescribed number of years, which is 2.5 years, even if you came in with experience
