Pros
I have been with Sequoia 7 years (going on 8) and working here has been one of the best decisions I have ever made. My time with Sequoia started as an Assistant Manager - with no prior property management experience. The company took a chance on me to become part of a team at a newly acquired property. In a short amount of time, I learned that Sequoia is a company of action, integrity, honesty, and kindness. I have been shown this countless times throughout my career here and have witnessed the same extended to all other team members. Starting with no experience, Sequoia took the time to invest in education. They spent the time putting together an intuitive training experience and provided me with the resources I needed to be successful. Let's be honest - most companies say a lot and promise a lot - but Sequoia is one that actually delivers. I've had many role models that I look up to in the company who continue to inspire me to bring my best to work everyday. I am consistently surrounded by passionate leaders and team members that truly care about the work that they do and the lives that we affect on a daily basis. One of our brand pillars is - Do The Right Thing - it drives so many of our business decisions - which is one of the things that keep me here! Knowing that this company has a vision and a set of values that guide us, which also align with me personally, is more than I can ever ask for. I can understand that not everyone has the same shared experience as me - but what I will say in response is: you get what you give. While I give a lot - I don't think it is as much as I receive in return working here. I am grateful to be part of an ever evolving and improving company that is not scared to challenge the status quo and push us forwrad both personally and professionally.
Cons
Every workplace will have "cons" and most will think that the grass is greener on the other side - What I know is that it is not worth it to find out - and continue to water your own grass :)
