Pros

The core product, which all other products are dependent on, has one of the largest gaps between it as the leader and its competitor in second place of any product in any industry Some of the smartest and hard working co-workers I have ever worked with who are eager to help you grow and learn Real dedication from management and HR on ensuring folks have access to career growth Working here will elevate your career as the brand itself carries a lot of weight and its growth will only continue It seems fairly difficult to get fired here (also a con)

Cons

Becoming a goliath of a company and with that we've been picking up some big company problems, decisions being made not for the employees or customers but for the organization Managers are hit or miss. I've been lucky to have some of the best managers of my entire career here and unfortunately some of the worst Pay can be good as an external hire but as an internal promotion, they will hold that over your head as an excuse to not pay you remotely what you are worth. You'll have to fight for that pay and you better be the top performer on your team Some positions that would typically require years of experience are filled through grad programs or by employees you won't believe passed an interview. As we rarely fire employees and managers don't take complaints seriously, you will often need to rely on these types of co-workers to complete a project which means you will be doing two jobs.

Pros

ServiceNow had a differentiated platform and products. Early on the culture had a startup energy that was rare for a company this size collaborative teams, ownership, and a sense that people actually cared about outcomes. Working with large enterprise customers on complex workflows was interesting work.

Cons

The ServiceNow I joined was a different company. As headcount increased, so did the bureaucracy, layers, and friction that rewarded politics over execution. The layoffs of the last few years were handled poorly little transparency, inconsistent communication, and decisions that felt made far above with little thought for the people affected. The "cost optimization" messaging rang hollow against continued executive spending. For a company that sells workflow and people process tools, the irony of a chaotic RIF wasn't lost on anyone in the field or on customers. Leadership political dynamics were real. The right team, the right manager you had cover. Performance alone didn't protect you.
