The problem with many of the positive reviews is that they show up right after a negative review; and in most cases it is several in order to keep the positive rating of the company above 50%. Clearly the CEO and his management team are monitoring this site and concerned about the perceived reputation of this company. They are more focused on looking good instead of genuinely being good. I'll do my best to break down what the experience will be like here. In the beginning, like many jobs, there is a honeymoon period where things seem great. You get a nice offer, a decent signing bonus, and you can't wait to start. But you have to be there at least a few months to eventually realize this place is not what it was advertised to be. When a project is beginning in it's early stages, expect management to listen and praise ANY opinion you have about the direction of where the project and requirements should be headed. But as time passes, they won't listen to anything you have to say anymore. They will make decisions that will cripple any personal life you have or plan to have. Soon enough you'll be expected to work 80 hours a week regardless of what the status is of a project. If you forcefully try to keep a work life balance, you can expect management to become bullies and push you around. It's even worse if your employment situation is tough (i.e., you're on an H1 Visa). The compensation will SEEM competitive in regards to the dollar amount alone, but in fact it really isn't. The health insurance premium is OK, but the patient responsibility costs are VERY high. The 401k is average. The vacation/sick time is laughable; and good luck trying to use any of it. If your laptop isn't available, expect yourself to do work on your smartphone. The biggest problem is when you count the actual hours you work and the imbalance of your life, that salary won't look so great anymore. Staff are miserable and they openly talk about it. The ones that are most scared to say anything are the H1 Visa workers. As for the CEO, you'll eventually learn to NOT RESPECT him. He'll come in and have all the smiles in front of you, but he's got a knife behind his back. If any employee senses that they might be let go and they decide to confront the CEO, he'll smile, lie, and deflect. He'll tell you everything is fine. Then he'll send one of his guys to do the dirty work. In other words, he's spineless with his own employees and won't own up to his decision. You need to remember this is a small company, it's not as if there are 10 layers of management beneath him. His office will likely be just a few yards from where you are sitting. The products they make aren't designed well. Management will preach good design practices, but in the end it isn't practiced. You can't hide a bad product by having nice pretty graphics layered on top. The engine underneath it will eventually rear it's poorly designed head. This doesn't mean the product won't sell; they'll find ways to mislead the client into purchasing something they cannot accurately deliver. All of the negative reviews on this site about the company are true. It won't take long to realize it if you decide to work for this company.
