Pros
Regular schedule, meaningful work, Compassionate coworkers, Connections to private providers and state case workers, channels to voice concerns above local leadership.
Cons
Low base pay, no raises. No retention efforts lead to high employee turn over. Going through available channels to air grievances often results in hearing the same responses repeatedly. Low pay is blamed on state reimbursement rates (which is legitimate) but no efforts are made to increase employee benefits in other areas.
