Pros

The mission is meaningful, and the product has potential. Some teammates are supportive and passionate about the work. Remote flexibility is a plus.

Cons

Unfortunately, the biggest challenge was the management style. My direct manager was a heavy micromanager who rarely gave the team true ownership or trust. Every small task required approval, and autonomy was nearly nonexistent. This led to frustration, slowed down productivity, and made it difficult to feel confident or grow in the role. Morale suffered because of the lack of empowerment and inconsistent communication.
