• Easy to get hired for low wage job when nobody else will hire you, that is if they are actually looking to hire. • Store doesn't follow the "Customer is always right" policy

• Insurance isnt good especially if you are a diabetic I had to fight the insurance for 6 months just to get them to cover my insulin just because they didnt believe that I "needed it" despite being a diagnosed diabetic for 12 years. Literally sometimes it is easier to get hard narcotics than it is to get diabetic supplies at times because ths insurance decides to block it. • Management does not reward hard work or dedication, they typically make the same 3 or 4 people they favor the employee of the month over and over unless if they find out an "essential employee" is looking for a new job. Then they may give them employee of the month in hopes that they dont leave. But even then the reward is a $50 gift card for the store itself and only the store itself. I would rather have a $50 bonus so I could use it towards bills or something. Then once tax season rolls around normally they will deduct the gift cards value from your paycheck so they dont have to pay taxes on it. • Departments are barely staffed, so if 1 person is sick or goes on vacation then 2 or 3 departments get screwed over cause then they all have to work to cover eachother just because the 1 employee is gone. For example 1 employee that knows how to work 2 departments will be considered "fully staffing" those 2 departments for their 8 hour shift. • There is 1 member of the regional management that berates employees. She will tell ypu to do things a certain way then the next visit will yell at you and call you idiots for doing it that way and that you never should have been doing it that way. And if you try to point out that she told you to do it that way she just will say she didnt and that you just dont like following direction. •The annual raise is only $0.15 - $0.25 unless if you work in 3 or more departments and threaten to get new job. Then they will give a $1.00 raise because that would be cheaper than trying to hire 3 employees to replace you. • Promoting qualified employees is treated as a last resort. They rather hire someone new with no experiance into a management position rather than promote a skilled experianced employee because it is cheaper to just hire someone new. • The $30 holiday "bonus" for thanksgiving and christmas, which is really just a coupon which can only be used at the store, gets deducted from your paycheck around tax season so they don't have to pay taxes on it. • The employee discount is only 5% off. It says 5% on national brands and 10% on store brands but it really only does 10% on specific items of store brand, most of ths time for store brands it will still only give you 5% off. • They put the obligation on you to make sure they follow labor laws. They pretty bluntly will tell you that they wont follow them so it is on you to make sure that the conditions are met. And if they get in trouble for not following through on labor laws they can take "corrective action" against you ehich could possibly include things like taking the penalty from your paychecks or termination. • Many customers are rude. Expect to deal with irrate or meam customers on a near daily basis. • Expect to do the work of 3-4 employees while being paid near minimum wage. • Many inquiries will get ignored by management especially if it is something that requires the attention of Regional Management. • Management will often lie to you just to get you off their backs. • Very high turn around. It is not uncommon for a new hire to get a better job and leave after 1 week or less of working at this location especially in front end. • Sometimes management will make a decision affecting a department without consulting the department manager. • Promotion of Diversity to create a "safer work enviornment" is a false pretense. If your on the higher tiwrs of store management levels you learn that the real reason is because it saves them money from tax deductions and causing enough division to prevent unions. And this is not the only facade they put up. • They say they are hiring even when they are not, They will take you through the entire interviewing process even if they know from the start that they have no intention of ever hiring you. Which can take multiple weeks. So dont stop looking at other jobs just because you have an interview scheduled here.
