Pros
Its a good solid company with strong processes and benefits. There is great opportunity for growth, but ONLY if you are good at networking and perception management. Global movements and across function movements are possible. Excellent for graduate hires in terms of experience exposure and opportunities given.
Cons
Extremely political - networks matter more than performance and capability, so it doesn't matter what you can do as much as whether you know who is who and play golf with them. No natural progression at all. You could suddenly find yourself out of job if you don't find a suitable next role... Each role is tied up for 4 years for experienced hires Manager is everything so need to be very careful while selecting a role... Mistakes as a company get repeated since people move roles across anywhere and everywhere without really developing any expertise.. although this is also a BIG BIG plus for employees to jump across functions.. Most people in the company are graduate hires so spend their LIFE in the company only.. as a result not much corporate knowledge of world outside the company Work life balance is over played, and even women friendly benefits post maternity etc are largely dependent on
