Pros

The people. Minus Management. You’ll discover just how much abuse, neglect, and gaslighting a person can take before they break. A real crash course in surviving with zero support.

Cons

This company loves to brand itself as progressive and “people-first,” but the reality is the exact opposite. The culture is toxic, the leadership is corrupt, and the empathy is non-existent. If you dare to speak up, ask for help, or admit you’re overwhelmed — you’re marked. Leadership doesn’t lift you up, they watch you drown, then blame you for getting wet. Messages go unanswered. Red flags are ignored. The second you’re no longer easy or convenient, you’re quietly cut out, labeled incompetent, and discarded — no matter how much revenue you’ve brought in or how flawlessly you’ve run top-tier accounts. They’ll gaslight you with HR jargon while pretending they value “transparency,” all while burying the truth behind closed-door meetings and cowardly reorgs. It’s a revolving door of talent because no one with self-respect sticks around. Ask yourself: why has this company shrunk to a shell of what it was in just a few years? How many reorgs, “transitions,” or “realignments” does it take before you admit leadership is the problem? You burned an incredible company to the ground — and now you’re standing in the ashes pretending it’s still thriving. It’s not. It’s bleeding out.

I’m responding personally because these allegations don’t reflect the company I know we are or strive to be. When someone feels this unheard and unsupported, we’ve clearly failed them individually. No employee should feel abandoned or that speaking up puts them at risk. I take personal responsibility when our leadership falls short. If you’re a current or former employee with similar experiences, please reach out to me directly at lizr@shiftparadigm.com. We’re not perfect, but we’re committed to doing better. The passion in this review, while painful to read, shows someone who once cared deeply about this company. That matters and I thank you for taking the time to share with us

Pros

Lots of room to create your own structure and process. Respectful that employees are people. The organization actually cares about DEI, operationally, not just as lip service. Tons of opportunity for learning. Thoughtful CEO, who communicates clearly.

Cons

It is a difficult industry space for an org to enter, and I don't know anyone who does full service consultancy + agency particularly well. If you're gritty and you like creating your own structure, this can also be a pro.

Pros

You will be a fool to seek any pros here. It's not a decent workplace for people who want clear boundaries and hope to enjoy some work-life balance. These awful people will never respect the lines you draw.

Cons

The work expectations were ridiculously high. Employees were expected to be available 24/7, work on multiple projects, and meet client expectations while balancing poorly assigned deadlines. It was a struggle to show up every day when you knew they expected too much from you. It was exhausting to try to reason with the arrogant leadership that did nothing but pile horrible expectations. They also didn't give me enough room to grow. My learning stopped, and I was doing boring work for months. There was no career growth, either. Overall, it was a horribly frustrating experience, and I escaped before I could be trapped here for long.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. We're sorry to hear that you felt overwhelmed and unsupported during your time with us. Your feedback about workload expectations, work-life balance, and development opportunities is taken seriously. We recognize that unrealistic deadlines and unclear boundaries can lead to burnout, and this is not the environment we want to create. Our new leadership is working to actively address these issues. Again, thank you for the feedback.
